New Hampshire Summit on Qualified Immunity

Please join the Cato Institute in collaboration with the New Hampshire Liberty Alliance and Respect NH for an e-summit discussion on qualified immunity. Qualified immunity is a judicially invented doctrine that has garnered greater national attention in recent years as calls for government and police accountability have grown louder. Qualified immunity is an extremely complex legal topic and is often misrepresented and misunderstood by parties on all sides of the debate. Experts from the Cato Institute, ACLU, and law enforcement will dispel the many myths and misunderstandings around qualified immunity so that state leaders can address the doctrine with facts, not political spin. Cato's Jay Schweikert will be joined for this discussion by Gilles Bissonnette of the ACLU of New Hampshire and Chief Brendan Cox (Ret.), an experienced member of law enforcement from the Albany Police Department.
